Ekioh’s Embedded Browser makes efficient use of platform resources to deliver high quality results.  Its footprint is just 24MB, including the graphics library.  This means it delivers a feature rich HTML solution in a fraction of the footprint of other browsers.

In addition to OpenGL ES Support, our browser also has a 2D blitter option which ensures hardware acceleration support is possible even when no GPU is available. Our ports also make best use of scarce resources by working with the platform’s operating system.  Memory pressure APIs enable forced resource recovery if memory becomes critically low.

Ekioh’s Embedded Browser is quick to port and easy to customise. Hardware accelerated ports are available for Linux and Android.  NPAPI support is available and example plugin code is provided. This makes it easy to integrate other platform resources like RFID detectors and barcode scanners.  A GStreamer sample also provides a rapid media player integration option.

Desktop builds are available on Linux, macOS and Windows. Using these, content developers and system integrators can test their content without needing access to deployment hardware. On-target content debugging is also possible using the web inspector option.
